Inspired by the literal paraphernalia needed to stay safe and navigate a summer heatwave, this deeply personal design features a trusty Yeti cup for hydration and an iPhone, a vital lifeline for hands-free emergency communication when facing sudden mobility challenges. Originally created on premium Somerset paper, the artwork layers hand-drawn Sharpie and Uni Pin outlines over a stippled background painted with eco-friendly red cabbage juice. Utilising the principles of Neurographica—a therapeutic, rounded art form with no sharp corners developed to stimulate nerve pathways and ground the mind—the hatched, pixellated details beautifully reflect the patchy neurological connections experienced when living with chronic illness.
